2016 fmME Top Suppliers
FSI Middle East featured in fmME 2016 Top Suppliers list. An A-Z of the top suppliers that have supported service delivery programmes in region during 2016
Adrian Jarvis is general manager for the Middle East operation of FSI, a specialist supplier of computer-aided FM (CAFM) platforms across the world.
Jarvis has more than 20 years' experience and knowledge of FM service delivery, and has been a part of FSI since 1998. He moved to Dubai in 2009 with the FSI Group, and has held his current position ever since.
Between January and November this year, FSI Middle East secured projects such as CAFM replacement and addition of workforce mobility for BK Gulf; CAFM system supply for University of Sharjah and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in the UAE; CAFM, workforce mobility, and performance management systems' supply for JAFZA One; and CAFM and workforce mobility system supply for Mosanada FMS at Katara Cultural Village in Qatar.
The growth prospects of its Concept Advantage platform, and potential projects with large service providers and in-house FM departments in the region are among the key opportunities that FSI Middle East will pursue in the next 12 months, Jarvis tells fmME.
Challenges to overcome within the year could include the market preference for short-term contracts, he adds: "An ongoing challenge is the short-term contracts that many service providers secure, [which] means it is difficult for them to innovate and properly invest in technology as part of their contract delivery.
"We continue to see some organisations reap great rewards from investing [each year] in technology to differentiate themselves, whereas others simply tick a box. Educating organisations about ongoing investments in services and user training is a continuing point of debate," Jarvis adds.
